This past week, The Haleiwa Project had the honor of being featured in an article by the City and County of Honolulu! The Haleiwa Project (THP) is a comprehensive youth housing program in collaboration with ALEA Bridge, ASI, and RYSE. Recently, with the assistance of SSFM International and City and County's Foodscape Program, new plant beds were installed on site! By installing these new plant beds we hope to create a sustainable, "farm to table," approach to food for the youth that call THP home!
To learn more about the program please visit the City and County of Honolulu Website and click on News Releases, then the article entitled "Urban Gardens Created to Address Food Insecurity in Vulnerable Communities."
