Produce Inspection Volunteer

Key Volunteer Responsibilities: Volunteers will inspect and sort produce food donations.
 Check for expired labels on packaged goods.
 Check the integrity of food products. Look for mold, decay, open skin on fruit and bugs.
 Sort food products.
 Box items for warehouse storage prior to distribution.

Age: Open to volunteers who are 8 or older. Individuals 8-15 years of age must volunteer with
an adult who is 18 years of age or older.
Location: Hawaii Foodbank Warehouse
2611 Kilihau Street, Honolulu, HI
Time Commitment: One four-hour shift (7 am to 11 am or 8 am – 12 pm) anyday, Monday –

Prerequisites/Necessary Skills:
 Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
 Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Dress Code: Covered shoes (heels and toes must be covered). Comfortable clothing. Shorts
must be mid-thigh in length or longer. Shirts must have sleeves and midriffs must be covered.
