Field Case Manager, Makanani Rivera came on board as a volunteer February 2018. After nearly a year of unemployment, with every attempt of looking for work in the lending industry after being there over 20yrs, results came up empty. It was during a Neighborhood Security Watch meeting she had a desire to get more involved. After inquiring with HPD, it was then she encountered ALEA Bridge. She started off doing outreach leading her into full time case management. To witness lives change & to be a part of it is truly a blessing. She’s happily married of 35yrs, mother & grandmother of 5 born & raised in Wahiawa. Her family are active members of Grace Bible Church Pearlside.
To be a part of ALEA Bridge is a privilege, to see the hearts of people to help them to discover their worth, to bring light to a once dark world to see them go from streets to shelter from unemployed to employed, makes everything we do so worth it. Connecting people, restoring hope building lasting relationships is the biggest part in case management makes me proud to be a part of it.
