The position is on an available bases and is located at ALEA Bridge main office, the position will be reporting to the Fundraising Coordinator. The volunteer position is essential to the efficient operation of the fundraising team. The volunteer position is required to work closely with the Fundraising Team, sharing tasks such as recording donations and thanking donors, and learning the other’s role in order to provide a seamless donor care service. This position has a particular focus on fundraiser development & implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:● Thank you letters and materials are sent in response to all donations from individuals, organizations and fundraisers. ● Works closely with Fundraising Team to ensure that income is accurately counted and that all new donors are recorded on to the database. ● Share the support of individuals, groups and community organizations fundraising for ALEA Bridge with the Fundraising Team, providing support materials as required and developing good relationships that encourage them to work with the ALEA Bridge again in future. ● Follow up mailings to new members and donors, mail merging template letters and coordinating office-based mailings. ● Follow up communication with direct donors to encourage them to reconsider or to continue to support us in a different way.● Coordinate and make administrative calls to new ALEA Bridge donors.● Assist with raffle and prize led fundraising as required.
Shared Duties and Responsibilities:● Support as required on stewardship of celebration fundraisers.● Encourage use of donating platforms on Facebook, Paypal & website.
Essential Skills and Experience:● Excellent organizational and administrative skills.● IT literacy including a working knowledge of data input and ability to use Word and Excel.
Essential Knowledge and Qualifications:● Educated to A level standard or with equivalent experience
Essential Competencies:● Knowledgeable of accuracy and attention to detail● Excellent standard of written English● The ability to develop and maintain relationships, with good interpersonal skills especially by phone● Ability to listen and deal sympathetically with recently bereaved callers● Ability to manage a varied and busy workload to sometimes tight deadlines● Flexibility to work with and support ALEA Bridge across the organization
